    I have been giving Preserve Mac Forte to my husband for almost 2 years. He has Macular Degeneration (Dry) and says his sight seems to be better. His doctor looked at his eye and said the Degeneration seems to have slowed down greatly. But I shoed him the botte of Mac Forte and he said not to give my husband these pills as it has too much Vitamin A and said Vitamin A speeds up Macular Degeneration. Therefore I am in a quandry. Is he correct or just mislead. Please advise.

      Thank you for your question. It is recommended to take 4 to 6 per day with meals. Most people break this down by taking 2 or 3 per meal until they’ve reached the 4 to 6 pills per day. The bottle contains 120 capsules.

    I’ve had surgery for the third time in the left eye for a hole in the macula, rendering me virtually blind in that eye. would these vitamins help me to regain some vision back there as well as maintaim what vision I have in right eye? I am now taking [another vitamin]. please advise and give me comparisons [of Preserve Mac Forte and my eye vitamin].

      Lucy, studies have shown that vitamin supplementation is for “dry” macular degeneration and not necessarily “wet” macular degeneration. It is our belief that NO supplement will help restore lost vision, however, it is important to use a daily supplement that may help slow progression of macular degeneration in your other eye. We do have customers that have wet macular degeneration in one eye and dry in the other and so they use our eye vitamin with hopes to slow the progression of the dry form. Preserve Mac Forte has been created specifically for dry macular degeneration, but it is also an excellent supplement for overall ocular health. In addition, because of it’s robust ingredients many customers also use it to replace their multi-vitamin.

    I am interested in the Preserve Mac Forte, as I do have Macular Degeneration in the right eye and have even gotten [name of drug removed] injections and it has not changed, except that I do not have the wavy lines anymore and haven’t from the first injection. Preserve Mac Forte is an excellent vitamin supplement for maintaining healthy eyes and it can often be used to replace a multivitamin as well because of its comprehensive antioxidant ingredients of vitamins and minerals. If you have “wet macular degeneration” in one or both eyes, then there is no proof that vitamin supplementation will help slow your progression, however, there are plenty of ophthalmologists who would recommend taking an ocular supplement like Preserve Mac Forte to help maintain healthy eyes.

      Preserve Mac Forte is an eye vitamin that supports ocular and full body health. Macular Degeneration has two forms: Wet and Dry. It sounds like you have the Wet form. Current research does not suggest that vitamins will help with the wet form. Patients with the dry form are recommended by eye specialists to take a daily ocular supplement.
